Solstice Smiles Dental Serving Smiles at DC Central Kitchen

At Solstice Smiles Dental, community involvement is one of our core values. We are proud to serve and support the community where we live and work. Community care is just as important as patient care. This commitment recently took Dr. Fitzpatrick beyond the dental office and into the city, where she partnered with a patient to volunteer  at DC Central Kitchen,

an organization dedicated to fighting hunger and creating economic opportunity through food rescue, meal preparation, and culinary job training.

During her volunteer shift, Dr. Fitz joined Rebecca Hertzberg with Becca & Friends, a group of women striving to make a difference in the community. They prepared and packaged over 350 nutritious meals for local schools, shelters, senior citizens, community markets located in underserved areas, local food banks, and other programs. The hands-on experience offered a meaningful way to give back while supporting an organization making a daily impact across the region.

“Giving your time to support your community is incredibly rewarding,” said Dr. Fitzpatrick. “Even a few hours can make a real difference in people’s lives.”

Service will always be a core value at Solstice Smiles Dental. Whether caring for patients or supporting local initiatives, the practice believes in promoting healthier communities in every way possible.

Dr. Fitz hopes her experience encourages others to get involved, reminding us that creating smiles doesn’t always happen in the dental chair–sometimes it starts in the community.
